Cortinarius percomis Fr. subgenus Phlegmacium Cap 4-8cm, margin inrolled when young; strong bright yellow to greenish yellow; viscid when wet. Gills adnate; distinctively yellow when young, becoming more rusty yellow in age. Stem 40-80 x 10-18mm, the base swollen or with a small submarginate bulb; bright yellow, veil yellow. Flesh yellow in all parts. Odor strong, sweet, distinctive. Taste slight. Spores lemon-shaped, rough, 9-10.5 x 3.5-5.5µ, quotient 2.15. Deposit rusty brown. Habitat under conifers. Found in the Pacific Northwest and Colorado also found in Europe. Season September-October. Not edible. Comment The spores of my collection are rather small.
